Montecastelli is a medieval village in the center of Tuscany. The Poggio (Italian for hill top) is a place where people from the worlds of science and music meet and work.

In a building dating back to the beginning of the 13th century participants find an environment fostering creativity and exchange.

 

A renovated chapel with a capacity of about 120 people is used for teaching sessions, rehearsals and concert events. The Poggio provides four grand pianos (including a Steinway on the stage) for unlimited use during Chamber Lab.

 

Montecastelli offers high class hospitality. All rooms are individually furnished with different styles and designs. Approximately 20 people can ben hosted at the Poggio. The food is made where possible from local produce or directly from the vegetable garden according to Tuscan traditions.

 

For relaxation and free time activities the Poggio offers among others a billiard table and a swimming pool.
