12 chamber music works will be rehearsed and performed by 12 different combinations of players. Every participant will prepare three pieces for Chamber Lab including:

 

• a piano trio from the Viennese Classical period,

• a piano quartet from the Romantic period and
• a work from the 20th/21st century.

 

The viola repertoire may vary from this in certain circumstances. Pieces will be assigned after the application deadline has passed. Repertoire requests will be considered whenever possible.

 

The chamber music groups will receive a minimum of two 90-minute lessons for each work.

Selected movements from all pieces will be performed at two final concerts. Sight-reading sessions are also scheduled, in order to foster the spirit of Chamber Lab.
